Custom Wedding Bands FAQs
Can my wedding band be engraved?
Yes. Whether it's a wedding date, initials, a short phrase, or something special between the two of you, we can add it to the inside or outside of the band. It's worth mentioning early in the process so we can factor it into the design, but if it comes up later we'll do everything we can to accommodate it.
Can we order matching bands for both partners?
Absolutely. Many couples come to us wanting bands that feel connected — whether that means identical designs in the same metal, complementary styles that reference each other, or something entirely different for each person. We'll work with both of you to make sure the end result feels right for both of you.
Can you design a band to match my existing engagement ring?
es, and it's one of the most common requests we get. If you already have an engagement ring — whether it was made by us or not — we can design a wedding band that sits nicely against it or compliments its style. Share a photo with us during your consultation and we'll take it from there.
Are custom wedding bands more expensive than store-bought bands?
Not at all. In fact, custom doesn’t have to mean costly. By working directly with our team, you get luxury design and American-made quality at an outstanding value—often comparable to or better than traditional retail pricing.

Diamond Cut Grades: How Sparkle + Cut Shape Your Custom Design
The way a diamond is cut has the biggest impact on how it looks in real life—its sparkle, brightness, and overall personality. Here’s how each cut grade plays into your custom ring, pendant, or earring design.

Exceptional brilliance and fire with even, bright light return from every angle.
Clean, crisp sparkle that looks lively in all lighting—perfect for center stones.
Clients who want the most radiant look and prioritize cut quality.

Strong brilliance and fire with only minor differences from Excellent to the naked eye.
Beautiful, lively sparkle that performs very well in everyday lighting.
Custom pieces where you want a balance of high performance and budget flexibility.

Noticeable sparkle with some areas of darkness or reduced light return.
Still attractive, especially in smaller stones or designs with multiple diamonds.
Accent stones, pavé, or clients who prefer to prioritize size over top-tier cut.

Limited brilliance; the diamond can appear slightly dull or flat.
Less “wow” factor, especially in larger sizes or center stones.
Only specific design situations where cut is less visible and budget is primary.

Dull appearance with obvious dark areas and minimal fire.
Often looks smaller and less lively than its carat weight suggests.
Generally not recommended for custom fine jewelry at The Custom Jeweler.
